James Clark, Managing Director, Interpath
James has 25 years’ experience in financial restructuring and turnaround and is head of Interpath’s North East team.
Whilst James often works across many sectors, he has deep experience in the Education Sector and leads Interpath’s Deal Support and Financial Restructuring services for Higher Education.
He is Interpath’s respected expert for lenders and the DfE, and over the years has worked across HE, FE, and multi academy trusts, on mergers, wind downs, insolvency, and covenant resets/refinancing.
Notable assignments include advising the boards on the merger of Bolton College and Bolton University (now the University of Greater Manchester), advising on over 20 mergers in the FE sector, advising the DfE on the collapse of Wakefield Academies Trust, and advising a Northern University on the future plans for its overseas campus.
